Promoting BETC
Until recently BETC has never been able to advertise that we
are open to the public or that we have public membership available. As we are down
about 50 memberships and in order to keep rates low for you, we would
appreciate your support. We are asking that you print and post in any facility
that you frequent, a
flyer promoting BETC. Thank you.
Max Manthou

State Champion |

|
BETC Junior Max Manthou is currently a senior
at Kentwood High School and will be attending the University of
Washington in the fall on a tennis/academic scholarship. Max has
just done what no one has ever done before and that was to win
4 consecutive 4A State Tennis Championships. Couple that with a
basketball state championship earlier this year and Max has 5
state championships! Chris Egan with King 5 News was at BETC
filming Max and his coach and BETC Pro Jesse Walter and the
story aired Monday, June 7th. The
story is now online at the link provided.
There was a cool article
on Max (aka The Little Big Man) in the ESPN junior version
called RISE - Issues are available in the mezzanine area at BETC.
:-) Okay, the photo to the left was when he was about 10
but fun to reflect on! |
Associate Membership Open
The Associate membership program is now open.
The current threshold for this membership is determined by adding the
active tennis and racquetball share members with current associate as to not
exceed 610 total memberships. This was approved by the BETC Board on
February 25, 2009. An
informational sheet on the membership is available at
the link provided or to print an

Roof Top and Wall Fan Policy
Periodically we will hear the wane of a member shouting - turn the fans on!
The clubs policy for turning on fans is as follows: The overhead roof top
fans will be turned on if the temperature as measured at the front desk is
at or above 65. If the temperature is above 70 degrees the desk will turn
on the end wall fans as well. As one member may want the fans on, others
prefer just the opposite. The end wall warehouse and walk through doors
should not be opened unless the temperature again, measured at the front
desk is above 65 degrees. Thank you for your cooperation.
BETC Guest Participation Policy
With each visit to BETC, participation without registration will not be allowed.
Any player guest entering BETC must check in at the front desk. Upon check-in,
they will be asked to sign the guest registrar and pay the appropriate guest and
if applicable, court fee. If a guest participates in a league, reservation or
block time, the member securing the guest substitute or the coordinator of the
league is asked to tell the guest to check in at the front desk. A guest fee not
paid by the guest, will be billed to the member.
